Finally came across to having the tranny cooler installed on the Acura TL to prevent my transmission from being broken! I purchased this from a shop suggested by my friend.

If you could ask your mechanic what kind of adapter he used that would be great info for us all
Is there a part number?
Where did u get that kit?
Which hose goes to what? Specifically if you don't use an adapter?
Why do you need that adapter?
Can you post the part number ?
My transmission overheated 2 times and my TL is still shifting grate and it did that bc I was pushing 120+ mph at 5/6k for over 30+ minutes going to pick up another TL
Are 2007-2008 TL's transmission better? I have an automatic tl 2008, got it back in october with 94k miles. Not sure if past owners had done any maintenance. I was wondering if i should be worried.
Would you do a manual swap ?
Hi quick question. My 08 TL automatic jerks when it’s slowing down. It sort of pulls back. I have done a drain and refill 3 times, replaced pressure switches and changes the motor/trans mounts. I still get this same feeling. The strange thing is when I turn on my ac or I drive the car for a while the jerking/pulling back feeling goes away. Do you think installing a cooler like this would help? If not any ideas? Thank you!
Kevin thanks for that video very helpful
The transmission needs pressure. It has nothing to do with the overheating of fluid. If your fluid is old it’s prone to overheat the gears yes but these cars have a internal design flaw in the transmission. All you can do is change the fluid and the pressure switches hope for the best. Can also put in a 06-07 accord v6 non hybrid transmission or rebuild for best fix.
This car comes with a transmission cooler already. Your just over cooling it It also has a transmission fluid warmer you just removed the fluid warmer so when it’s cold your gong to have hard shifts. What really kills the transmission is an internal problem where the fluid doesn’t get to 3rd gear properly thus burning the other gears up and tourqe converter. What you need to do is change the fluid and also change the 3rd and fourth pressure switch
