How to install a short ram air intake! #DIY #intake #rice

SI RICKO says:

Why would anyone want A hot air intake. lol

veeerzes says:

Just a quick note, a cold are intake or CAI won’t have any benefits if you
have a turbocharged engine. The turbo will compress the inlet air which
causes it to heat up, the intercooler will cool it down again. I know that
in theory it is always beter to have colder air in the first place, but in
practice the difference is negligible.

Roger Toledo says:

Are you going to put a heat shield around the intake

Daniele Dal Col says:

GS stands for?

Ishieness says:

Quick question. Were all these little clamps provided already? Or did you
need to get them?

Jadon Ghereben says:

Do how to test and change your oil

iMANTlS says:

What’s the difference between stock and aftermarket Throttle body ?

TheSamplebridge says:

you should get a new intake manifold and throttle body at some time.

18iser says:

I hope it kills your engine

TheCowGoesMoo o says:

wish my cai was that easy to install, took me like 40 minutes

Antoine A-A says:

What is that goo on your battery terminals?

Guillermo Lovato says:

why does your ABS box has 8 lines?, i count 4 for each wheel and one from
the brake fluid reservoir, the 3 othes?.
could be cool if you made a detailed ABS video showing how each part
connects on a real car, not everyone knows how the ABS pump interacts and
connects with “normal” brake lines from the master cylinder (and if it uses
a 3-way check valve how it does to return the fluid so that the bake
calliper retracts)

Sens23Bruins says:

Short ram? Its literally in the exact same spot as the stock one lol, i
guarantee it wont make a difference other than a slight weight reduction,
just a cosmetic upgrade…

7150285 says:

try cold air intake?

Kevin Hartman says:

You can remove the plastic junk that is in front of the stock air filter it
is no longer needed.

Nolan Ryan Duncan says:

thing about this is the engine now breaths in hot air because its rite next
to the exhaust lines whats the maths in that ?

mike mannino says:

@Enginerring Explained does the wiring you originally took off go anywhere
now?

Nils Toudal says:

How would this improve perfomance, except for the saved weight?
I suppose it will make for a slightly lower resistance for pulling air into
the engine?

Nadim Chaddad says:

with an SRI you will feel more top end . with a CAI you’ll gain more
torque. The longer the pipe the more torque you get.

ISRAEL CASANOVA says:

What do you do with the connector where do you plug it in or leave it lose?

JDM Dragon says:

Never heard it called a worm clamp, that’s new to me. Anyways good video.

pukhraj vohra says:

Please try posting the results as soon as possible.

elvicdesonora says:

Why you didnt go for the plastic tube? i heard its better to keep the air
intake temp lower, is that true?

Poor Man Mods says:

looks good!

ethan199303 says:

gunna be sweet to see if the performance improves

spiroslouis1 says:

I have heard that with an after market air intake filter you have differend
exsaust sound..is this true?

Kingdom Of Mog says:

Woot woot Integra

Waldo says:

Project race car is back on track! Great video :)

Nicktrance1 says:

No noise comparison? that’s probably the most noticeable difference xD.

rax188 says:

That is not a true ram air intake!

Zack Richmond says:

Results?

Edit: NVM… I see that they’re soon to come.

Adam Hill says:

Be sure to factor in the difference in noise. Maybe overlay some audio
clips in the video.

MrRangerZr1 says:

At idle that tube is going to suck very hot air………

St0RM33 says:

You forgot the last step! You have to put a “RICER” sticker on your front
bumper! :p

timo vähäkuopus says:

Hot air intake 😀 Are you gonna build an airbox for that ?

Samuel Perez says:

Can’t wait to see the results! I’m excited lol

Matt Thomas says:

Good video man, I’m excited to see the rest of the build!

billyvesar says:

Damn man, I can’t wait for the testing and etc.
Your channel is going so great, well done!

phoenix6064 says:

Thats not a short ram thats a hot air intake.

dannyboiiiiii96 says:

What difference does a short ram make over the stock intake? They look
pretty much the same length lol unless I’m missing something within the
meaning.

Danny Sayaseng says:

good choice on the intake as well!

donkyuhbuhts540 says:

Cant wait for the CAI and comparison! Break out a dyno!

Armaan R says:

All these “hot air intake” comments are baseless…. At a stop it’s true
that the intake will suck in hot air from the engine bay, but as soon as
the car is moving, the underhood temp should drop and the intake will suck
in cooler air

UNPROYET2000 says:

Same brand (AEM)

Sebastian Rosenberg says:

Is it louder? I wanna hear the difference.

cycleracer88 says:

Too much hot air!!! … install a carbon housing around the filter with a
cold air intake from the front bumper. Plastic intake pipe would be better
for intake temperature. Search for Fabia S2000 engine …this is the best
engine build for a non-turbocharged car.

rmata7131 says:

It’s funny I just installed my AEM intake on my RSX.

UNPROYET2000 says:

Is it Illegal to have a Cold Air Intake in California?
