This video is a continuation of the previous, where my Acura Integra Transmission was removed and was found to be full of metal pieces and a very broken differential. In this video, I take the case off, and show a few critical steps towards checking over a used junkyard transmission that I aquired for CHEAP! I also show how to properly check to ensure the transmission is operating properly, BEFORE installing it in your vehicle.

These Honda manual transmissions call for Genuine Honda Manual Transmission fluid. This one has a capacity of about 2.2L.

For torque specs on some of the fasteners in this video, check your service manual. I do not have one, and went off of some information I found online, as well as my own intuition.
for the 16 case bolts 12mm, I torqued them at 14 ft-lbs.

Something I want to point out, is that a YS1 Transmission (1992+) and an S1 transmission, (1990-1991) have DIFFERENT SIZED SHAFTS. This means, they will need different clutch disks to work. I found this out the hard way. This Transmission is from a 1992 Integra, which DID NOT fit in my 1990 Integra with the clutch I had installed. I had to buy another clutch that fit the splines of the YS1. So make sure you are aware of this if you are changing transmissions in your Integra, especially if its a second gen like mine.
