Acura TSX Alternator Replacement

Acura TSX Alternator Replacement

It’s been a long week and I guess about time to replace the alternator and serpentine belt on my TSX which I haven’t done before. I’ll also show you how to get your GPS and radio security codes for FREE without going to the Acura dealership.

How did you get the 2 bottom bolts off??

Lime says:

UHHHHHHHHHH 1:59, you can't get shocked by alternator or battery, its dangerous if you don't take out the positive battery terminal because if you touch your wrench to ground anywhere on the engine or the casing of the alternator, it'll weld and turn red hot. It's 12V's, you can't get shocked.

I know you are always busy and DIY content is more demanding but i like your DIY videos more. Especially the old TSX videos and GTR exhaust

Pyskotic says:

I would also appreciate if you could make videos on trouble shooting and figuring out what is wrong with a car is something is not working. I know each car may have different issue.

Cheng Xiong says:

Is it only acuras where you input codes after replacing alternators or all cars model year 2000+?

Alex inCOMA says:

Great video!
I would test which component is bad (rectifier, voltage regulator, brush…) & just change bad part while keeping OEM unit. Honda alternator has great quality, much better than autozone parts.

Andrew Vang says:

Life is filled with mysteries…and the domino effect is real! I can recall when helping out a family-friend replace his cracked radiator, only to find out that the timing belt, starter, and fuse (rear lights) also had to be replaced. A week later, his battery had to be replaced whereas after replacing the battery, we realized the local autozone had provided him a dead charge replacement.
