the part comes as a kit with several pieces. mine got messed up when I replaced the pads and the mechanic didn't release the parking brake.

I get why they had to swap you back to a stock caliper to do the work, but hopefully they gave you the old caliper if it was the brake actuator only. I'm guessing you could sell it since there's probably nothing wrong with it, or at worst needs to be rebuild.
