upper510 says:

Where did you get the replacement dashboard and how much did it cost? Also, how much would it cost to install the dashboard?

Thomas Reddick says:

Just came across this page while looking for a replacement dash for my Type S. Any ideas where to find one and approx. cost to replace it?

WALTER MILLER says:

WOW You guys did a fantastic job as I'm very impressed on how detailed as well skilled Your team is, I have the same issue for my 2005 TL Base model, my question is would it be actually worth paying for the same job that Your team executed (and did a damn good job) for me have to basically have a cracked dashboard only a few years later? Oh also my Black Leather seats are ripping more and more what suggestions would You say I try until I can pay for the Leather Seats to be replaced?

Javier J. says:

Love this project u paid 1700$ dam nice! i paid 4k for my TLS but it's auto no cracks on dash just drivers side seat has rip

Patrick Carrillo says:

It's still blows my mind that Honda didn't do a recall on the seats or dashboards And to this day they didn't fix the problem for these cars they didn't update the dashboards they're just using the same ones that will crack in a decade

Channel 1 Texas says:

The problem with replacing the dash (especially with a used one) is it's just going to crack again! I've read-on and-on on the forums about how there really is no rhyme or reason to the dash cracking. Some original owners had them crack at 40k miles, but I had an '04 that never cracked in the Texas heat with 170k on it. I just bought an '06 and the cracks are starting near the airbag cover, so it's only a matter of time. It's so frustrating. It seems like this would have been such a costly recall for Acura that they avoided it as much as possible. I wish there had been a class action back in the day so all of the dashes could be fixed with a better material. Clearly Acura did not do proper R&D on the dash material, or something in the formulation of the plastics/rubbers got wacky in the process. It seems coverlay is the most cost effective and decent looking option for the cracking. most people are not going to spend 2k on a dash for a car that's worth ~$4500 and could potentially crack at any time.

Chris T says:

can i just take off the top of the dashboard? why the entire thing 🙁

S Le says:

Only this particular model of TL. My 2008 TL has the same problem. It seems like 2004 – 2008 have problem with rubber, plastic, etc.

Cam J says:

What Acura dealer is this? Seems like a good place to work. Been working at Acura in Massachusetts for 5 years.

ddenll767 says:

Just got some cracks but I love 2007 TL so I’ll live with it. Coverlay dash cover looks good though.

eddy hernandez says:

I need y’all to work on my TL , y’all do a great job

Aztec Warrior says:

I wonder if the acura dealerships still have these dashboards for sale.
