Did anyone have a hard time pulling the alternator off after removing the bottom bolt? It seems like the bottom hole fit pretty tightly and I had to wiggle the alternator up and down a bit for it loosen from the bottom holes.
I just finished doing my alternator and had a hard time with the serpentine belt. DON'T USE A 14MM DEEP SOCKET for the tensioner. When I used the deep socket, it interfered with the motor mount and didn't give enough slack to loop the belt over the tensioner.
Nice explanation! I knew it was going to be a bit of work only due to the tight environment, but glad to see it wasn't that bad. FYI — ALWAYS check the belt for wear / cracking and replace as needed — an extra $20 to save a potential breakdown later is cheap insurance!
Dealer ship charges 800 now. It’s crazy
Same as a 2007-2008 etc..don't remove fan !!!!!!!!! .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ktRGEJAvxs
You don't have to take fan out the alt. comes out from the side just pull power steering reservoir up & out of the way, takes 20 min. to do !
Thanks for taking the time to show this.
Thank you! I followed this exactly and I was able to get it done in about an hour!

How did you get the bottom bolt of the fan off?
