let the hoses on!!!

Great video. Helped me replace the starter on my 2006 Acura MDX. I only had to disconnect the upper radiator hose from the engine side, and bend it out of the way. Pretty smooth process once you have access to the starter bolts and connectors.
I did put a large rag below the starter area just in case I dropped any nuts, bolts or sockets during the removal process

Taking off hoses helps a lot but if the hose is frozen on and hard to get off u can just move the hose out of the way while still connected. Its enough room for starter to come out . Preciate the video

This was very helpful, especially using the heatgun to take the hoses and tie-wrap them to the side. I would recommend using a small mirror to view the lower bolt when installing to ensure that the bracket is well-seated, and a small light aimed at that bolt. When seating the new starter give it a 'jiggle' to ensure the gear teeth mate, and check that the started seats properly before bolting it on.

This helped a great deal. Thank you.

Thanks Dave, installed a new starter on the weekend, great instruction.

Joe Chest says:

hey, dave. The 2 Radiator hoses on top of the starter, when pulled off. Is there a lot of coolant coming out? And did you need to Drain and refill the coolant after that? I saw another video for starter replacment and that guy never disconnected the hoses in fear of what I am asking you. Thanks
