Hello Griffen Addie, As you have figured out, you were wrong about the type of daytime running light bulb for the 2011-2018 Volkswagen Jetta. It is not a Sylvania 7528 but instead a Sylvania 7506 bulb. It would have been nice for you to have posted a correction to YouTube once you found out that the 7528 Bulb didn't work.

I would replace for something better.
I highly recommend sylvania zevo 1156 white led bulbs. They will last truly over a decade with no issues.
With a lifetime warranty, u will not have to worry about bulb burned out anymore.
Sure u might get error code but the led bulb will be fine

It's been pointed out to me that some cars had the twin filament bulb fitted and only used one of them. My 2011 Jetta has three different build standards for the electrics and I've never been able to find out which is mine.
Good video but you should not handle the new bulb with your bare hand. Oils can shorten the life of the bulb.

Very helpful when I had first tried to change my own running lights I had thought I wouldn’t even be able to access them because I couldn’t tell that the bulb was also in the headlight opening. I also really liked how he explained the direction of turning the bulbs because mine had eroded and I had to use pliers and if I hadn’t been able to tell the direction it would’ve caused some damage. Also very thankful for how you told us how to approach the angle of getting to the bulb from behind and on the side of the car

What if you are left handed?
It doesn't work. With the entire enclosure removed from the vehicle, while inverted you can easily lock and unlock the bulb housing, but it stays locked on the lower side of the housing, along the bottom of the inside of the entire enclosure. So you can sit there and lock it in and almost unlock it getting it very loose. Except that bottom side.

Great video! May I suggest a little WD40 on the plastic of the socket when you put it back in so it will come off easier next time. My hands aren't quite flexible enough to get any leverage when trying to turn it and pull it out. Your directions were excellent, though. There's a small marker light right next to this bulb that goes in the same way, with a plastic handle – just in a really small socket. You have to feel your way around until it goes in.

Hold on! Lol I was just told y the dealer that to replace this DRL costs over a 1000 of dollars! Please someone tell me this isn't true, I just seen this man change his own for 5.00….mine just went out and I don't have 1000 dollars
