Front stabilizer link replacement performed on a 2010 Subaru Impreza. These often make clanking noises when they begin to go bad. Sometimes the hardest thing is just removing them but overall it’s a simple DIY repair.

I had to cut mine off.
‘Rust. It’s what makes a Subaru, a Subaru’
your videos helped a lot. thanks. however, one question to this video: do i need to jack up the car on both sides at the front, or is jacking up the car on one side (the one on which you replace the link) also ok? (i was asking myself, if there would be too much tension on the sway bar, if the car is just jacked up at one point, resulting in some kind of warping and the front axis not being symmetric causing that the link will be hard to be removed).
thanks
I had to look this up. Both fronts got done charge me $ 189.
Just replaced one on my 2012 impreza today
Man u made it look so easy. I like cars but hate working on them. But that looks
Like a piece of cake
Where can I get the stabiliser links I have 2011 subaru impreza 2011 hatchback
Same for a 2016 Forester?
Man that is some serious rust under your car.
14mm wrench or 17mm wrench ?
Man perfect video! exactly what I want while using YouTube for info, straightforward no fluff no bullshit. keep up the great work happy subscriber.
How did you know you needed one? I replaced the inner and outer tie rod ends, new tires with alignment and steering wheel still noticeably shakes at 70+ mph. Any feed back is appreciated!! Thx
From the looks of the video you are doing this without any load on the suspension? Would you recommend no-load on pre-load the car to swap out sway bar bushings and end links?
Bro! You just saved me so much time! Thanks for the tip about the 3/16th bit. You just saved my Saturday!
Goddamn that underside is more jacked up than mine! I feel better now lol
Should be pretty much the same for a 10 forrester eh?
Saved me 50 bucks! Thanks!
my garage wanted 500$ for this job lol
Thanks very helpful. Great video.
what was wrong with the old one? looks like very simple thing. What can go wrong with them. Mine was broken by a wombat back, by the way.
Do you have to put front of the car on jacks?
Pretty Straight-Forward. Thanks
I actually just had one of mine break on my 2011 Impreza (driver's side). Does it make sense to replace both or would you only replace the broken one? What kind did you get and where did you get them? Thanks for the help!
Hey thanks, this Video worked just great.
i assume they didn't change much from 2008 to 2010?
Who's that at 0:22? 🙂
Is it safe to drive if the stabilizer link comes off or get broken?? How much time before it needs to get repaired says it breaks while driving??
