Thank you that helps
Hi. Do you know if that kit would fit a 1985 mercury 2 stroke outboard classic 50. In the video everything looks identical to what I have. My serial is A710397 which does not come up on the Mercury website. Thanks.
I cannot seem to attatch the fuel filter cup with the o ring , ,also there is a screw that pushes against the plastic piece when increasing speed, and the screw seems to jump over the plastic piece. Any idea what I'm to do?
Fantastic teacher. Thanks for doing this video! Keep doing others. Instructions and video are clear, thorough, slow, and easy to understand.
what do you clean it with? Some sort of solvent? WD40?
Thank you very much because I hate to tear things up.Great instructions
I’m trying to change mine but it will not come off help
I have the same fuel filter bowl. However when I purchase the part you linked, it appears it's smaller (narrower) and tiny bit taller than the original. It does not fit. Any suggestions?
Hi – I have this same motor. When I go to unscrew the fuel filter cup/housing I hear a hissing and gas begins spraying out. Since you just say it "may leak just a little bit" I assume this isn't normal. Any idea what causes this or if there's a way to safely relieve the fuel pressure? Thanks for your videos!
I have a 2004 Mercury outboard that I cannot budge the fuel filter bowl. Any help appreciated. I bought the 6” wrench with no help either.
Nice video! I’ve got the same engine and so does my grandfather. I’ll have to send this to him. Thanks again for the very informative videos!
