Our 2018 Mazda CX-5 needed new rear brake pads. So, In this video I replace the rear rotors and pads. I also point out where to jack it up the rear so that two jack stands can be placed at once.
This is my second re-upload of this video. I learned about the electronic parking brake maintenance mode, so I included it. That is going to take some getting used to. I used instructions from various sites and tutorials. Coming from older cars, I guess I got lucky by not putting it into maintenance mode when I first did the rear brakes.
A link to the other work I have done on our CX-5 is below.

Nice video, thanks. What was your source for those/other maintenance codes sequences?
Hey, great video and thanks for uploading. Quick question, is there no need to bleed the brakes?
We have the same watch!
Great video, thanks.
Thanks for the video. Please do yourself a favor and use a mallet to hit the wrench and not your hand.
4:27 dude I'm curious too! I had to replace my brakes at like 22k miles and one side was totally boned while the other was seemingly fine. Seemed like it was a malfunctioning brake system from the factory…
1:51 ah that's the secret sauce the dealership wouldn't tell me
Nice job! Thanks!
Very very well done. Mate, no Music effordable. Your Voice is fine. Great details
is there any way to remove caliper when the bolts are stuck ??? it is fianl step i could take it off but i just can'r remove it tried the rust penetrant.
Very good video. What rotors and brake pads are you using? I'm having difficulty choosing which ones to buy. Thanks for taking time to make this video.
Newer ones don't need to be on service mode. Just, press start button 2x, step on breaks and turn off ebrake, same logis to engage it again. I think mazda did this for ease of service, maybe 2019 onwards models.
