Todays video demonstrates how to replace the clock spring (otherwise known as a spiral cable) in a Nissan truck and SUV. This video was recorded using a 2006 Nissan Titan but it will apply to a wide range of vehicles such as:
Reminder, these steps will work for many Nissans. Just be sure to check the torque specs as they will vary from one vehicle to another. These same steps will apply to (of similar model years):
Nissan Armada
Nissan Xterra
Nissan Frontier
Nissan Pathfinder
Nissan Navara
Nissan NP300
Nissan Paladin
Nissan Roniz
Infiniti QX56

Great video, but the Ebay part only lasted about year, I ended buying another clock spring from the dealership which cost me more but I want that peace of mind.
Excellent! Great camera work and lighting, clear and articulate presentation!
Hey mate how do I run the reset procedure
@Ry the car guy by any chance do you still have the part number? When on the link you gave but seems like they sold out and looking to do mine.
Best titan clockspring video I’ve seen
Hi, what is the replacement part number for the clock spring?
Gracias, muchas Gracias!
The orange and yellow airbag cable connectors should be crossed before inserting them through the steering wheel holes. That wasn't done in this video which is why they ended up being shorter. Compare before and after views of these cables in this video.
Thanks a ton for the details. Struggled with the quality and details of the other videos of the clock spring out there. 2011 Titan Pro-4x
