They dont sell them anymore in europe. Its a shame. What do you think about the engine in the civic Type R?
The 8th gen Accord has some major oil consumption issues. Honda has pushed out a recall but you have to consume a certain amount of oil every month for them to disassemble the engine and rebuild it. Apart from lots of road noise, it's an extremely reliable car. My dad got about 140,000 miles out of his before someone pulled out in front of him and hit the right front fender. Still drove! Four days later someone slammed on their brakes and he underrode their SUV. Still going…
My father in law is on his 2nd v6 honda accord. The first one he had for 15 years without any issues, he updated to a newer model and same story. They are fantastic cars
Looks like they changed the game in 2008, so 12 yrs ago.
My dads 2011 Accord SE has 285,000+ miles one it and still runs strong and smooth like the day he got it from the dealership
Hahaha, Honda, sporty or fun? Sounds like a good joke!
I never understood why Honda never listened and made rwd and awd cars specifically sedans
They have turbo chargers in both the 1.5L and 2.5L engines. Does that imply that the engines will wear out faster, thus being unreliable?
I agree 100% ! The 4 cylinder is the better engine for sure. It seems that other company’s also have more reliable 4 cylinder engines compared to there V6 engines. I would suggest you avoid the turbo 4 cylinder engines. I’ve had a Civic and Accord with 4 cylinder engines and they had plenty of power.
I own a 2012 honda Accord SE (same as the one scotty is driving.)
For 5yrs.. Great reliability ,really comfortable & great rear trunk space. Also, the Braking performance is Great. Hondas in the past were known to have spongy, awkward braking performance in the past.. but they sure got it rite on this Accord.
Most thing I like about my Accord is the ride Quality! Man. Honda nailed it big time. Great handling & just perfect ride Not so soft, not so stiff.
Only thing o dont like about my Accord is the gas mileage around the City. I do get the same as scotty stated (22mpg city) & wish it performed better in this department. But still.. Great car overall!
