Parts needed:
NGK ILKAR7C10 – this is the OE Part (same as dealer)
Tools needed:
T30 torx bit
Ratchet set
9/16 Spark Plug socket
Socket extensions
Hi why you choose the V8 instead V6 petrol engine.
Do you have a video on adding a second battery in the LR4? Love your videos, many thanks.
FYI The NGK Iridiums are lose in the 9/16 socket. Better off using 14mm magnetic spark plug socket.
Awesome. You seem to be quite versed in the LR4. I have a 2012 LR4 that is stalling on me. Original codes were P2279 and P0087. We have replaced with NEW parts the 3 fuel pumps and filter, MAF sensors, crank sensor, air filters, oil change and OEM gas cap. Throttle body was removed and cleaned. Injector cleaning service as well. Codes were cleared. Still stalls at a slow roll. It idles great. Does not run rough either. Does not smoke. It just dies. Starts right up too. Any thoughts?
Can you do a transmission video
Next on the list is the diff fluid and transmission fluid for me? Have you done them yet?
Got it done today. Bigger job than i thought. I ended up taking the battery box out as well.
I’m about to do this tomorrow, would it be easier to remove the battery box on the passenger side too?
Could you do a video on the fuel filter change. I haven’t found one for this motor yet. Thank you for the video.
Hey man, thanks a lot for posting. I was about to give up and take it to a shop. I mean I'm not totally un-handy but I could not figure out for the life of me how to get to the plugs (well, I did with a tech manual but all pictures). The video really helps. I mean it is possible to sit there for hours and figure out which part attaches to what and what you have to remove, but instructions are always the best and videos are better. Plus, I have other stuff to do, so it's always better knowing what to do, getting in there, and doing it. I appreciate it. I have a 2012 RRS SC and all the videos thus far on youtube have been for the wrong engine. I'm hoping I can use this as a basic guide. And thanks for letting me know how long it takes–so I won't give up two hours into it lol. CHeers!
How long did it take you?
Could you please show more about the second battery and what it's used for?
Thanks for the vids (-:
Did you use anti seize paste on the new plugs? What torque?
