Amazing precision and efficiency with a torch.
what (28) retards dis-liked this video ?
when the men put acetylene torch on metal, it take about 10s to cut
metal….why? is it direct or should we increase temporature for acetylene
torch
i need a explan for that problem to perform my excercise
Thanks for see and reply my comment :3
A very clean and clear video, Freddy. I may just have to get a camera out,
now that I’ve seen how it’s done.
Check out this video on YouTube:
When you want to cut a hole I use a center punch and make a dimple then
when you preheat the iron a small bead will form in the dimple and when you
put the oxygen to it this bead goes right thru. It also seems to form
quicker than just heating the iron.
Wonder if you can cut gold bars in half with acetylene? Grin. Nice cuts
& holes. ( Mine were egg shaped)
el primer corte es de lo mejor que he visto
Will the set up part with the gas adjusting work the same way if I’m using
natural gas instead of acetylene?
I miss doing this, I think I’m going to get into this again. This has to be
one of the coolest careers!
That first cut is beautiful, artistic, fantastic, and a variety of other
adjectives. I wish had that skill. Practice, practice, practice. Thanks
VERY much!
On my wish list. Can I borrow $800?
I did this in class for the first time yesterday, and I must say my cuts
did NOT look that great, you should have seen the slag, I may as well have
been welding..lol
I noticed you didn’t rest the torch on your wrist like I was told to. I’m
gonna try the method I just saw you use in this video in Monday. Anyway
great video.
What equipment brand are you using?
i just started my first welding class and it covered this. thanks for the
review
Best Torch welding tutorial i have encountered so far.
Excellent video.
Great video
Excellent video. Audio and video, very nice. Thank you for the education
and sharing. You rock.
How do you hold it?
thanks for the vid it will help for my class cuz i really suck at torch
cutting but with what you’ve explain in this vid i’ll be able to fix what
im doin wrong
Dingo barriers I didn’t know this would be so technical
Can you cut rock with an acetylene torch? I’m looking into rock-cut
architecture (‘caves’) and different cutting tools. Thanks.
FYI, the oxygen cuts not by burning the steel but by rapidly oxidizing
(i.e., rusting) it, and then blowing the oxidation away. At least,
according to reddit, anyway.
good vid, did you know that you can save some money on acetylene by turning
it off when cutting? its really hard to do tho and you gotta be really
steady so you dont blow out the reaction.
You have a nice steady hand with fine motor control. I can burn the nut off
a bolt & still use the bolt but my burning still does as nice as yours.
the oxygen is not burning the steel, essentially when you heat the metal
you are cutting up to its melting point then you press the oxygen lever, a
stream of pure oxygen shoots through the middle hole of the torch tip,
pretty much blowing the metal out of the way
Wow, I learned most of this by trial and error. At least I thought I did.
Your cuts look like a bandsaw!!! Back to the drawing board.
