On track yet? Would like to see that video 🙂 I have an Exige myself and
planning to do the same next year!
I had a sweat looking one with updated shocks for racing and rims and tires
and clutch, but man with the racing shocks you hit a pothole and you would
think something would fall off. It is a harsh rattly ride, but flip side
it is the first car I ever had that women loved. I currently have a 2013
Jeep JK Wrangler, a 1999 Jeep TJ which is silly fast in a straight line and
a 1987 Buick Grand National. Once owned a 1974 Jaguar E-Type Convertible,
but the Lotus got looks. Thinking about purchasing another one, but
building it silly fast. LS twin turbo build and just make it silly. Ah,
but I am at the same time tired of toys and it is a shame when you get to
that point in life.
As for track car you could not make a better choice. Don’t blame you for
making a quick decision on buyin one. Congratz enjoy !
Don’t you miss this at all for trackdays, fun driving? I think nothing
comes closer that is reasonably practical.
Now go tune the fuck out of it and rape everything on the track!

If it were mine I would upgrade the brakes and change out the factory seats
for lighter more supportive racing seats.
This guy is so boring! I’ve ridden in an Elise and my reactions were a lot
more intense. haha. This guy seriously underestimates this car.
Jesus the Elise tank is smaller than the Ford GT tank, and I thought that
was impossible lol

The Brits do know how to make wonderful little sports cars. Too bad that
some many of the manufacturers are gone now.

Great video. My dad’s cousin has a Series 2 Lotus Elise but he also has a
Volvo V50 estate as his daily car because its so spartan. He tells me that
his wife felt nauseous on the motorway as it sits so low. I know it would
be a very expensive modification but its interesting seeing people on
youtube putting Honda K20A engines (from the integra type R etc) into the
Elise. Without any forced induction, you get at least 220hp and you can rev
to 8600rpm. Are you thinking about replacing brake pads/callipers?
Be interested to see that!!! Just been watching your other videos on the M3
and the R8! Awesome stuff!! It’s good to see ppl actually using and
enjoying these types of cars!!
Love the car. I’ve thought about buying one on several occasions. Isn’t
the K series the engine that is prone to head gasket failures? Looking
forward to the track day videos!
Hey im not trying to be rude or anything but could you please get a compact
digital camera like the Sony RX100 or something? Or maybe a GoPro HD Hero
3+ and upload in 1080p or 1440p? The reason is because the audio sounds bad
and the video is very shaky and low quality too and you also upload in
720p. This is especially bad when viewing on my TV or my retina macbook.
Your reviews are awesome but would like them more if they had better
quality, thanks!

In Summary: It Sucks,…in a FUN way. lol No seriously,..I looked seriously
at getting one myself. I like the “rare” aspect of it,..you just don’t see
them everyday. They turn heads for sure.
Take the roof off, fit a Larini exhaust, it will go like stink and sound
superb! – it’s the only car that convinced me to sell my Cbr900, on a dry
day, decent road it’s the best fun you can have, you can drive it hard and
still see over 30mpg,
– seems strange to have roof on, windows shut and keep saying how hot it
is 🙂 – my biggest problem living with one for 3 years was defrosting the
windscreen in the winter, took a.g.e.s …
is this an easily affordable car or are you well off? Id love to know cause
this car is a beaut, and would love to have one some day if ever possible
I think the first upgrade will be brake upgrade ;)
Mines an 01 but virtually identical to this 32 LTR tank so 12 liters would
be a third of a tank – Mine had done 100K (KMS) when I bought it and I
fixed all the rattles using foam between panels.

Why didn’t you get one with the much better toyota engine?
Is the rattle in your R8 from under the dash? We had awful problems with an
A6 as the family car, bought from new and had to be sent back to Audi 7
times for the same rattle.. Wasn’t too impressed with the experience
although we did have nice courtesy cars from them while we were waiting
2zz swapped MR2 Spyder is a much better daily driver.
Great video. Well jell. Its a Lotus thing love them or hate them. I’ve been
round SPA in Belgium on a S1 S2 and Evora but I must say the best laps were
in an Exige S. Not my cars I must say. As a daily commute why not how many
people arrive at work with a smile on their face? Looking forward to your

lmao I use my elise as a daily drive 50 miles a day.. I know you just
bought it but please rename the video to ‘tutorial on how not to drive an
elise’ keep your revs high it’s not a sunday driver ;)

Mate it sounds like you should have bought a Jag, 7 minutes in and still
