Excellent info; straight forward, very helpfull. If you could post other
volvo issues I will follow them; highly recommended thanks!!! PS I lost my
second key any advise???
Thank you and thank you for watching. Its mom’s car but it doesn’t see much
miles….but I will definitely post. No advice on the key fob except to but
one online with an “un-cut” key or “blank”. Unfortunately you still have to
take a new fob to the dealer because….though you can have it cut by a
locksmith…the fob must be paired with the vehicle otherwise the
immobilizer system will reject it. Someone else might have a better idea on
this.
Thanks you so much.. Very informative..
Thank you. Simple yet might have damaged key not knowing this. Thanks
again.
Thank you everyone for your comments and for watching.

Hi Bruce, Yes the programming is stored in non-volatile memory so you don’t
lose it when you replace the battery.
Great little how to video. Does the remote retain its programming? Seems
like removing the battery would disable the programming…
Thank you SO MUCH!!!!! 🙂
