ok, ill try that today, we actually bought a brand new EGR valve for it,
were basicly trying everything at this point, currently putting brand new
park plugs in it to see if thats the problem, we also replaced spark plug
wire 6 cause the inside was beat up, ill let u know if the car starts and
works by the end of today
Great news! the car started and is running good as a car can on blocks lol,
thank u so much, u have no clue how great full i am, thank u so much for
the helped, another question though, any clue on how to plug a leak in the
base pan of the car? my father says we gotta take it off and fix it…
a piece of what? i couldnt get it quite clearly.sorry.i replaced my 1995
pontiac firebirds coil with a coil that i got from a junkyard, i never
cleaned the prongs that the plug wires connect too,im still having problems
starting it, it will turn but wont catch, it may give a bit of a quick
jump, but it wont fully start,my father (very mechanically inclined)thinks
it may be the fuel pump, that fuel isnt getting to the motor, ill try and
clean the prongs, but help me pleas,if u know the problem help
That stuff is called Scotch-Brite, you can pick some up @ the grocery store
cleaning supplies aisle. The thing that made my car start better was
cleaning the EGR valve, and cleaning the port on the plenum where the
ribbed tube from the EGR valve connects. Mine was almost completely plugged
with carbon build up.
