We have about 15 more cars left to revive in this yard, but featured today we have this 1946 Dodge truck with a 9ft bed! Straight 6’s never let us down BUT, will this one? See what we have in store for this truck as everything in this yard won’t be sold and this whole place (small vintage town) will be later turned into a museum.

My dad would change the tires on his fleet of old trucks all the time …just build a tubular steel cage and get a clip on air chuck with with a long hose to a manual valve so you can air them up from a good distance …..Air the tires in the cage so if they blow up it wont rip your head off lol . Ps sand the rims good and oil them up good it helps them lock easier and if you see major pitting buy a better rim .

Id definitely call that Truck a family heirloom that was saved from the scrap yard years ago!
They supposedly fit a Dakota frame really well, but I'd definitely say yes to the Hemi! And yes it would definitely depend on how bad the mechanics of that truck really are.

I recently bought a 1941 Dodge Truck that looks a lot like the one in this video…. except mine came without an engine, transmission and stuff that makes it go down the road. hahahahahahaha!!!! DON"T CARE. All of that stuff would have been the first on the list to replace. I want a mild-mannered hot rod that I can daily drive. A Mustang II front end (my trucks has no axle), 318, with a NV3500 are the things that I dream about. It was a steal for $750 and a lifetime of building my baby. Great to another ! It’s more complete than my 46 , mine was the end of a 30+ year search .great save to your ol man.mine has a diesel re power and disc brakes .im in England and these are very rare here , everyone runs the usual Chevy or fords.MOPAR for life . SUBBED

Those old Mopar flatheads are noted for stuck valves if they sit for years. I have owned several over the decades.

The joy in Alex’s shouts brought a damn tear to my eye. This was a freaking amazing episode. The BlindDodge came back to the party. My take on people commenting about how you decide what path you take with a vehicle is yours completely and the folks who think otherwise should start their own YouTube channel but if course they won't as they are not anywhere close to what you guys are, IMPO.
Swapping the truck to another truck chassis makes the best sense if you would be using the truck as a daily driver. Cost wise it makes little sense to try and fix a truck that's this old. Go with the chassis swap.
