Jayrodo! Thank you for sharing all of this. I’ve done everything you
mentioned in the video except getting a different harness (you mentioned
something about a Volvo harness, also it definitely looks different than
the stock Ford harness). As a result, I’ve been trying to hook up a 14
gauge power wire to the A5 pin connection in order to power the stock
cigarette lighter, but it won’t power on. My guess is that the connection
is too weak between the A5 pin and the copper wire (I just kind of stuffed
it in there because there is no metal connector built into the harness). Do
I need to get a new harness like you have in your video, or can I buy a
little metal connection to get better contact with the A5 pin? (I haven’t
been able to find anything so far)
Seems a lot easier to just get a stereo with these ports on the front.
What about ford focus 2005
The problem I see with our 2003 SAAB’s are that the cigarette lighter is
part of the ashtray assembly, and it appears a little wider because it has
a lighted assembly flange. Although where there is a will, there is a way…
2003 Saab 9-3?
will it work an a 03 mustang mach 1
Dude you’re a freaking genius! I wish I could do all this stuff to my car
but I wouldn’t even know where to start haha
can this be done with a 2002 cavalier???
Can this be done with a 2003 civic
hey , will this work with standard hed unit?
Does this need an fm modulator? Is the usb/aux cigarette jack the only part
required besides the stereo of course?
Should be the same basic concept but it all depends on which head unit you
have. Check out focusfanatics or focaljet and see if anyone has done the
same thing. The Blaupunkt head unit is the only one that this application
would work for for the 00-04 model Foci.
You will have to check some forums on that make and model but it should be
pretty similar. As long as your head unit has an AUX input or can accept
some type of CD Changer emulator you should be able to. Best place to look
would be car forums about your vehicle.

You need to get that cough checked buddy.
Can this be done on a 2005 chevy malibu?
Does this work on a 2005 ford focus?
i see a laptop staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnddddddddddddd
So can I do this on an 05 F-150?
Yes, they’re the same size. The wiring harness is different but the
physical size is the same. See my other video about installing the
Blaupunkt headunit in the Focus.
Can do this for me? I live in Atlanta. I have 2004 Ford Escape?
If you can get behind your stereo then yes, it is the same concept for
almost all cars. Whether or not you have the AUX input capability is
another story that is specific to the head unit in your vehicle.
There is actually a video on that specific vehicle.
How did you connect the AUX to the radio?
I have it just set to charge, if your head unit had a rear USB input, you
could do both.
I checked out your thread and the only thing that confuses me is the
soldering part. From what I understand, this cig adapter has a female 3.5mm
and USB port on the back. These can be connected directly to the headunit
without any soldering of wires to the board. The soldering was just to make
the USB port into power. Please correct me if I’m wrong, I’m planning on
buying this part and just wanted to make sure that this is correct.
What kind of Bluetooth module is that?
can you let me know if you solve this? i ordered the part and im trying to
get this all figured out.
Not him again, buy a plug out of most garages that does exactly the same n
you can pull it out n plug whatever you want in lighter still
Haha you said focus
Nice-most people don’t pay enough attn. to the appearance of the finished
product. Yours on the other hand looks nice, clean,& professional.
i want to do the same installation in my focus 5000 cassette rds but i dont
understand the electrical connections 🙁 help me please ) the connection
rear of the radio plug green ??
Dude, as proud as I am of you removing the cigar lighter well in favor of a
USB/AUX faceplate placeholder, its somewhat of a shame that you removed the
cigar lighter plug seeing that some things like pumping your tires in case
they are low are one reason to keep the cigar lighter plug. I put cigar
lighter plugs on my pedal bike because I need some resources since I have
breakdowns since I ride more frequently than the average cyclist. Also, I
am an advocate for MP3 player technology too!
does anyone know if the blaupunkt is the same size as this stock radio in
mine 6000cd 2002 really want the blaupunkt so i can have the same setup as
this Keith
iPad stand actually. Amazon ASIN# B00585CM0I
what stereo do you need if you want to put these auxiliaries?
And ya know, I would destroy the ashtray in favor of a makeshift plug
splitter
Can this work on a Ford Focus ZX3?
How would you play the music> a certain radio station or something?
will this play the music or just charge the iphone/ipod
The AUX plays the music through the speakers and the USB just charges it.
would it work on a 1999 ford taurus
good idea, I never would of thought of finding a part forma different car
that fits the application perfect! Bravo!
Mr. Jayrodo i will pay u to do this to my focus. Please tell me you live
around L.A.
